Kirkintilloch Olympians was founded in 1981 and rapidly grew in membership. The Club has continued to evolve and has maintained a position as one of the most successful athletic Clubs in the area. The current membership ranges from under 11 to veteran - male and female athletes.
Over the years the Club has produced a series of good quality athletes who have won numerous individual and team medals at County, District and National championships.
The aim of the Club is to provide a platform to attract people of all ages into athletics and to enable athletes to develop and to fulfil their potential. Above all we wish children and adults to enjoy athletics within a safe, structured, relaxed and competitive environment.

Broadwood 5km 'Fun Run'
Broadwood Stadium, Cumbernauld Thursday 14th August
The second 5k run organised by Kirkintilloch Olympians will be held on Thursday 14 August at Broadwood Stadium, Cumbernauld. The race is open to runners aged 13+ years and of all abilities, and is held on a largely flat course around Broadwood loch. Details are on the entry form which can be downloaded, completed and sent to the race organiser Robert Rogerson. Pre-entry is strongly advised as the race was over-subscribed last year. Entry is £2 before Friday 8 August. There are no prizes for individual performances, but spot prizes, a goody bag and a commemorative medal to all finishers will remind runners of their successful completion of the race. ENTRY FORM
