Kirkintilloch Olympians was founded in 1981 and rapidly grew in membership. The Club has continued to evolve and has maintained a position as one of the most successful athletic Clubs in the area. The current membership ranges from under 11 to veteran - male and female athletes.
Over the years the Club has produced a series of good quality athletes who have won numerous individual and team medals at County, District and National championships.
The aim of the Club is to provide a platform to attract people of all ages into athletics and to enable athletes to develop and to fulfil their potential. Above all we wish children and adults to enjoy athletics within a safe, structured, relaxed and competitive environment.

Broadwood 5km
Thursday 12th August 2010

This year’s run around the scenic Broadwood Loch, Cumbernauld will take place on Thursday 12 August. The start is at 7.30pm and details can be found on the entry form. This run is designed to give local runners an opportunity to experience race conditions without the pressure of either large city race. It is a friendly run organised by runners for those of all abilities. The entry fee is £2. Completed entry forms should be sent in advance to the race organisers.
